Who Can Explain?

      The Passion

Who can explain this passion for fashion?

Some would say it’s a drive, an ambition, a motivated race to obtain a particular treasure lying in wait at the end of the map. We say it’s a deliciously planned obstacle course with a sumptuous surprise at every corner; a bubbling terrain where the course is skillfully plotted out before you, weaving and bobbing through a delightful wonderland. It is this- in an impossibly stylistic life, where a virtual hunt is to be savored, a joyful excitement of unearthing a savings of gold, and then shining victorious at the end of an arduous, yet satisfying race to win the prize. Would you agree?

       Huh?

What does that mean?

It’s just a long-winded way of saying, “Obtaining that fashion find for le$”! But that’s a boring way to phrase it [insert sad face here]… Picture this: your closest friend makes a surprise visit and hands you a bow-topped, sparkly wrapped present! For no reason at all! Because that’s what it’s like, isn’t it? Finally finding that article of clothing you’ve been searching long and hard for? Or, better yet- finding it for cheaper than you thought you could? And, saving money is like putting money in your pocket- an unexpected gift!

       Get to it!

We are a small-time outfit, really. Farm girls, actually… BUT, we love clothes. Always have. Who hasn’t dressed up as a little girl and played, ‘fashion model’? Now granted, as little girls, we tended to do things a little unorthodox… like, taking pictures of ourselves drenched in clown make-up, in side ponytails (gasp!) or full body shots wearing heels four sizes too big. We even did these things outside! Such as, but not limited to, pretending to hang off cliffs or facilitating mock bicycle accidents (think sprawled out kid tangled up under a ten-speed, crazy clothes and all). Yes, the raw embarrassment was well documented in photographs; but boy, those were great times (didn’t everybody at some time or another do this?). Nevertheless, even in all that oddity, it still managed to give birth to a creatively artistic passion for photography, design and clothing; and now… here we are. Still taking pictures and enjoying clothes (minus the crazy, of course!).

      Attn. Models!

Think you've got what it takes to be a Glowbees model? If you are an active, professional model with a growing portfolio located in the Lansing/ Flint/Metro Detroit area and would like to earn a little cash modeling for Glowbees, send us a link to your portfolio through the contact page.

Please note that response time may take up to one week. As an FYI- rejections happen. It’s just part of the business. When it happens from us, it is usually due to: lack of experience, outside of our age-bracketed target audience, and/or unrepresentative of our desired projected image, etc. The good news is declined applicants are stored in our database for up to six months; meaning, rejection does not always equal, "not ever" -- But can be a, "not right now".

Accepted applicants are expected to be professional and respectful of appointment times and in front of the camera. Unless the reason for a no-show is *extraordinary* or stupendously entertaining, any "flakes" will not be given a second chance to model for Glowbees.
